The security units of the Marsa region in Tunis managed to stop a taxi driver for having attacked a minor student and his comrade.
The Directorate General for National Security specified, in a statement published this Wednesday, November 13, 2024, that following the broadcast of a video on social networks showing a taxi driver violently assaulting a minor student and his comrade by insulting them after their exit from the Lycée de Citériyad to the Marsa, the case was taken seriously by the security units of the specialized brigade in the fight against violence women and children at the Marsa.
The Directorate General of National Security added that the identity and address of the suspect were determined following a series of surveys. An intervention was then carried out after coordination with the public prosecutor, leading to his arrest.
On consultation of the representative of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to the Tunis 01 first instance court, he was ordered to place the suspect in police custody for “attack on minor”. The investigation is underway.
