On the night of Wednesday 19 to Thursday, February 20, 2025, students from the Regada University Campus blocked the national road n ° 2 connecting Kairouan to Bouhajla. They burned tires and wood at the level of the campus to express their anger after the death of one of their comrades.
The student died Wednesday evening at the Ibn Al-Jazzar University Hospital in Kairouan, after a worsening of his state of health occurred within the university center of Regada, reports Mosaique FM.
Following this event, the Tunisian General Union of Students declared a strike strike from this Thursday. She claims sanctions against the director of the home, accusing her of having delayed calling for help.
