A civil servant of a public institution was placed in police custody after the Tunis prosecutor’s office ordered his arrest for accusations of “falsification of documents” and “embezzlement of public funds”.
The facts date back two years, when the individual used a falsified medical file of a deceased patient to obtain drugs of a value greater than 60,000 dinars.
After continuing to receive medication for personal purposes, the official stopped running at work and then fled. Following several months of investigation, the judicial police services managed to locate and apprehend the suspect.
