Tunisia rose to first place in Scandinavian International Olive Olive Competition (Siooc), winning 64 medals and ahead of renowned countries such as Italy, Greece and Turkey. A performance that confirms the quality of Tunisian olive oil on the international scene.
Tunisian olive oil continues to impose its excellence on a global scale. At the end of the fourth edition of the Scandinavian International Olive Olive Olive Competition (SIOOC), organized from June 27 to 29, 2025 by the Swedish Global International Olive Olive Olive group (Giooc), Tunisia distinguished itself by winning the first place in the general classification, before Turkey, Greece and Italy.
In total, Tunisia won 64 medals, distributed as follows: 45 gold medals in the “quality” category, 4 silver in the same category, and 15 gold medals in the “health” category. An exceptional track record which testifies to the technical mastery and the ancestral know-how of Tunisian producers.
Organized online from Sweden, Siooc closes the annual international competition series organized by the Giooc, specializing in the promotion of extra virgin olive oil around the world. This edition brought together a hundred samples, presented by 80 companies from 14 countries, including Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey, Spain, Italy and Croatia.
The jury, made up of eight Tunisian and Greek experts, all recognized in the field of sensory tasting, was responsible for assessing the quality and benefits of the oils presented.
The Giooc group welcomed Tunisian performances, stressing that they illustrate “the rise of Tunisian olive oil, carried by exceptional terroirs, recognized know-how and the commitment of producers anxious to reach the most demanding international standards”.
Each year, the group organizes four major competitions: in Abu Dhabi (Global Olive Oil Competitions), Miami (Usiooc), Lausanne (Eiooc) and Stockholm for Siooc. Events that have become essential in the international olive oil calendar, offering a global showcase to the best productions of the five continents.
