The 39th edition of the Tunis International Book Fair will be held from April 25 to May 4, 2025, with China as a guest of honor. More than 110,000 titles, 313 exhibitors including 107 Tunisians, and 30 public institutions will participate, representing 29 countries.
Placed under the slogan “We read to build”, this edition, with a budget of 1.8 million dinars, will highlight the digitization of literary content, artificial intelligence, and the role of the book in the construction of collective consciousness. The event is also a space for solidarity with the Palestinian people, in the continuity of the previous publishing.
The Chinese pavilion, with an area of 500 m², will welcome more than 100 personalities and 40 publishing houses. Tuniso-Chinese agreements are planned in the fields of publishing, translation and literary creation.
Renowned figures in the Arab and international world will be in the spotlight, with 183 invited intellectuals, and special attention paid to youth, through 255 events and 50 school visits.
The literary list will be unveiled on April 30. The number of applications recorded a clear increase, going from 84 works in 2024 to 126 in 2025.
