The Ministry of Commerce and Development of Exports indicated that the situation of the supply during the second quarter of the year 2025 was generally stable, despite some pressures observed, especially on the potato market.
In a press release published this Tuesday, July 8, 2025, the ministry specifies that prices have generally followed a downward trend for most products, with the exception of red meats.
During the periodic meeting of regional directors, held yesterday under the supervision of Minister Samir Abid via videoconference, several measures were reviewed to maintain the stability of the supply, including:
The exceptional supply of flour regions to guarantee the availability of bread during the tourist season and meet growing demand.
The implementation of a specific program between the Tunisian trade office and professionals to ensure the distribution of family coffee and improve its presence in commercial spaces.
Monitoring the implementation of the decisions of the Competition Council.
Strengthening the constitution of potato regulating stocks and controlling the quantities stored, in coordination with local and regional authorities, in anticipation of the fall hollow.
The continuation of the installation of the producer’s direct points of sale to the consumer.
The call launched to butchers from all over the country to participate in the marketing of red meats imported by the Viandes Society, in order to put pressure on prices.
The intensification of road control operations in coordination with the security services.
