In a statement published on Sunday on its official page, the club’s management announced the collective resignation of all of its steering committee.
This decision comes in a tense context, marked by a series of verbal attacks, defamations and unfounded accusations targeting the members of the Management. The Committee deplores an escalation of damage to the reputation, honor and dignity of its officials, who, according to him, is the continuation of its functions “impossible in normal conditions”, all the more in the face of a end of the sports season deemed disappointing.
On the sporting level, the African club was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Tunisia Cup, beaten 0-3 by the US Monastir. In the championship, he could not do better than fourth place in Ligue 1, far from the club’s ambitions.
In a concern for transparency, the outgoing management announced the deposit, on May 16, of a request to the Tunis court of first instance, with a view to the designation of three judicial experts responsible for a complete audit of the club accounts.
Pending the election of a new office, the committee is committed to ensuring daily administrative management in order to guarantee the continuity of sports activities. He also calls for the holding of an elective general meeting by June 12, 2025, in accordance with the statutes of the African club.
The Council of Sages was officially informed of this decision, as well as of the current financial situation of the club, including the current judgments, the debts to be honored, the deadlines to come and the amounts to be paid to remove the prohibitions in force.
