A patrol of the Mahdia Customs Maritime Brigade rescued, on the evening of Friday, February 28, 2025, 64 people of foreign nationalities who were trying to cross illegally to Europe aboard a boat whose fuel was exhausted.
After verification, it appeared that these migrants had taken the sea from the coasts of a neighboring country. They were transported aboard the administrative boat to the port of Chebba, where they were given to the Maritime Guard services for the rest of the legal procedures.
