Kais Saied inaugurates the 39th edition of the Tunis International Book Fair

The President of the Republic, Kais Saied, proceeded this Friday, April 25, 2025 on Friday, 2025 to the inauguration of the 39th edition of the Tunis International Book Fair during a ceremony organized at the Kram Exhibition Palace. The event will be held until May 4, 2025 under the theme: “Read to build”.

Considered one of the most important cultural events in the country, the fair celebrates the book, reading and disseminating culture. He highlights Tunisian, Arab and international literary and intellectual talents.

This edition grants a place of choice to the young public, with 255 activities dedicated to children and adolescents, spread over eight spaces animated by more than 50 institutions. Among them are organizations under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, other ministries, international cultural centers, as well as several Tunisian start-ups.

The program for young people mixes cultural expressions, technological innovations, creative arts and even artificial intelligence, in an interactive and educational approach, according to the official website of the event.

Note that more than 110,000 titles, 313 exhibitors including 107 Tunisians, and 30 public institutions will participate, representing 29 countries during this 39th edition, which welcomes China as a guest of honor.
