(Update @9:00 am) After the massive strikes led by Israel against Iranian targets, including the Tehran capital, Iran retaliated in the night of June 15 to 16 by a new salve of missiles. According to Reuters, these attacks touched Tel -Aviv and Haifa, causing the death of at least eight people and injuring dozens of others.
Videos broadcast by Israeli channels show several damaged buildings in the center of the country, notably in Tel Aviv, where one of the rockets would have struck a residential building. The emergency services transported more than 70 people in an emergency, mostly slightly injured.
This raid occurs less than 24 hours after Israel led a series of targeted strikes on Tehran. According to Iranian authorities, the Israeli army has targeted the headquarters of Quds force, soil-to-ground missile sites as well as the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Several civilians were injured in the attack on the latter.
The human assessment quickly increases on the Iranian side. The Israeli army confirms that “preventive and neutralization of threats are continuing”. The TSAhal spokesperson spoke of “an inevitable war of attrition against an enemy determined to hit the heart”.
Trump tries to avoid climbing
Since Washington, the American president Donald Trumppreparing to leave the country for the G7 summit in Canada, called for a “fast de -escalation” while reiterating its “unshakable support for Israel”. According to several sources, Trump would have put his veto to an Israeli project of targeted assassination of Ayatollah Khameneijudging the operation “too risky”.
