Soumoud caravan: partial release of prisoners

While several of its members were arrested in Libya, the Soumoud caravan refuses to return to Tunisia without the complete liberation of its activists. A mobilization is organized to unlock the situation.

While the Soumoud caravan continues its solidarity mission with Palestine since Libya, the coordination of joint action for Palestine has announced the partial liberation of activists arrested in recent days by the Libyan Eastern authorities.

However, several participants are still detained, including three Tunisians, three Algerians, two Libyans and a Sudanese, according to a statement published on Monday.

Negotiations are currently underway to obtain their release, while the families of the missing are called upon to contact coordination only via its Facebook page.

The latter also alerts against sabotage attempts, which it attributes to Zionist relays seeking to divide the members of the caravan and to slow down their objective: to symbolically break the blockade imposed in Gaza.

The spokesperson for the caravan, Jawaher Chenna, reaffirmed during a direct statement that the return to Tunisia remains conditioned on the release of all the detainees. She calls on the Tunisian authorities to intervene urgently and mobilizes public opinion to support the cause.

In addition, coordination had already warned against non -supervised departures, urging citizens wishing to join the caravan to be coordinated beforehand with the organizers to avoid any risk in the field.
