Iran would like to discuss hostilities, according to the “Wall Street Journal”

Diplomatic sources have revealed that Iran wishes to initiate discussions with the United States and Israel to lay the foundations for a ceasefire and relaunch nuclear dialogue. These messages were sent by Arab intermediaries, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal published today, Monday, June 16, 2025.

This approach comes three days after the outbreak of the vast offensive of the Zionist army against Iran. Until now, the conflict between the two belligerents has not shown any sign of appeasement, while the Tehran regime has led during the weekend of strikes in retaliation.

Although Israel claims to have neutralized strategic capacities, the material damage remains limited following a major Israeli air offensive against Iran, mainly targeting nuclear sites and military structures

Iran would agree to resume negotiations-on its nuclear program-on the condition that the United States does not intervene militarily alongside Israel. In parallel, Iran warns: without prospects for serious talks, it could accelerate its nuclear program or extend hostilities.

Iran asked Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Oman to intervene with American President Donald Trump to use his influence from the Zionist entity in order to obtain an immediate cease-fire, two Iranian sources and three regional sources in Reuters said on Monday.
