The Chilean artist Catalina Swinburn presents his new collection from May 10 to June 25 at the Selma Feriani gallery in La Goulette.
The Selma Feriani gallery, a space dedicated to contemporary art, welcomes the Chilean artist Catalina Swinburn from May 10 to June 25. The guest artist will present his new collection entitled “Devotational Landscapes” (sacred landscapes).
The exhibition brings together sculptural textile works, as well as unprecedented collaboration with the Tunisian artist Mohamed Amine Hamouda, produced in Gabès.
Through a sensitive exploration of Zawiyas – Sufi emblematic sanctuaries of the Maghreb – as well as various religious and archaeological sites, Catalina Swinburn questions the deep ties between spiritual heritage and cultural heritage.
This proposal, at the crossroads of contemporary art and Sufi culture gives all its interest to this exhibition, the opening of which will take place on May 10 at the Selma Feriani gallery in La Goulette.
