The governorate of Béja knows, this Wednesday, April 16, 2025, notable weather changes, marked by intense and localized thunderstorms. Precipitation is accompanied by strong gusts of wind temporarily exceeding 80 km/h.
Faced with this situation, the governor of Béja, president of the regional disaster prevention committee, called on all farmers and breeders to be vigilant and take the necessary measures to protect their livestock and equipment, in particular those located near the wadis or in the low areas.
It is also recommended to secure light greenhouses and structures against violent winds, to check the irrigation and drainage systems to ensure good evacuation of rainwater, and to avoid contact with electric posts during and after the rains in order to prevent any risk of electrocution.
The regional commission also invites users of the public road to redouble their prudence, especially in rural areas subject to floods. It remains in permanent meeting to follow the evolution of the situation and issue the necessary press releases.
