A fire partially ravaged, on the night of Thursday to Friday, the mausoleum of Abi Arfa Chaâbi located in Kairouan.
The act, perpetrated by unidentified individuals, occurred late at night, according to the first elements collected.
The fire destroyed the door of the mausoleum, without however reaching the tomb itself. No human loss or major damage inside has been reported.
Witnesses have indicated that the mausoleum, located in an abandoned cemetery, is often frequented by individuals in a marginal situation, especially for the consumption of narcotics, reports local radio Sabra FM.
Alerted, the security units went on the spot to see the damage and opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the incident and identify the perpetrators of this act.
