Tunisia distinguished itself during the second edition of the Arab Mathematics and Logic Games Championship, winning a silver medal and two bronze medals. This event, organized over two days by the Arab organization for education, culture and science (Alecso), brought together participants from various Arab countries.
According to the results announced at the closing ceremony, 33 students out of the 70 engaged in the competition, representing 16 countries, were rewarded. This championship, organized on January 29, relied on the test and competition system developed by ACLSO, preceded by an intensive training program for several months. The tests were made up of eight parties intended to assess the skills of the participants.
The objective of this initiative is to promote the culture of educational competitions and to offer young talents in mathematics an opportunity to prepare for international competitions.
The silver medal was awarded to Syrine Turki, a student in the 8th year of basic education at the Tahar Haddad college in Nabeul. The two bronze medals were won by Yahia Hagouna, a pupil in 7th year at the Mahdia pilot college, and Mootaz Zouaghi, in 8th year at the Béja pilot college.
