A large -scale fire broke out this Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in the refreshment bar of the Lycée de Dar Chaâbane El Fehri, located in the governorate of Nabeul.
The incident, which quickly alerted local authorities, sparked immediate intervention by civil protection units. The flames were mastered in record time, thus limiting the material damage.
Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported. However, the owner of the refreshment bar suffered from light burns to the hands during the fire extinction attempt. Despite the speed of the intervention, the fire caused concerns among the students and the teaching staff present on the scene.
The regional delegate, accompanied by the regional education delegate, immediately went to the site to assess the situation and ensure that no threats existed for the safety of students.
The causes of the fire remain unknown at this stage. According to the first hypotheses put forward by the authorities, a box would have caught fire, but technical checks are underway to determine the exact origin of the incident.
