In a virulent statement published by the official KCNA agency, North Korea strongly condemned the recent Israeli strikes targeting Iran. The North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs described these attacks as “crime against humanity” and blatant damage to Iranian sovereignty.
This diplomatic outing is part of a context of increasing regional tensions, after the intensification of fire exchanges between Iran and Israel. Pyongyang not only accuses Israel, but also its Western allies, in the forefront of which the United States, of contributing to this outbreak of violence by their unconditional support.
The North Korean declaration warns against the consequences of such a dynamic. According to Kim Jong-un’s regime, these attacks could trigger an uncontrollable regional conflagration, threatening peace and stability in the Middle East.
Criticizing what it describes as “unbalanced alliances”, North Korea affirms that the bias of certain countries in this conflict only fuel the logic of confrontation. She calls, in hollow, to a revision of diplomatic balances and a multilateral approach to prevent a large -scale war.
