The tension intensifies dangerously in the Middle East, while a new Salve of Iranian missiles has targeted several regions in the south of Israel in the night from Sunday to Monday.
The Israeli media, including the Times of Israel, reported impacts of ballistic projectiles near Ashdod and in the Lachish region, south of Al-Quds.
According to Reuters, missiles were seen flying over the city, before several “detonations” were heard in the surroundings. The Israeli army has confirmed the activation of alarms in the center and the south of the country. In Parliament, the sirens forced the deputies of the Knesset to take refuge in the shelters.
These strikes occur in a climate of mutual reprisals. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has sworn to “punish the Zionist enemy” after the United States participation in bombing targeting Iran. For his part, Donald Trump insinuated a possible change of diet in Tehran.
Since June 13, the date of the first Israeli strike on the Iranian nuclear sites of Fordow, Natanz and Ispahan, the Riposte de Tehran was not long in coming. The human record is heavy: more than 400 dead and 3,000 injured in Iran, against 24 victims identified in Israel.
While the international community is desperately attempting to defuse the crisis, the strikes follow one another and make fear an unprecedented regional conflagration. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian promised that “the Americans will have to answer for their assault”. The IAEA said that no abnormal increase in radioactivity has been noted.
