Avenue Habib Bourguiba turns into a pedestrian area for a weekend. On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June 2025, car traffic will be prohibited as part of a festive and family urban event.
The governorate of Tunis announced yesterday that the prohibition of traffic will extend from the place of 14-January to the streets of Algeria and the Netherlands. It will be in force on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., then Sunday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
This initiative is part of a process of awareness of the importance of urban spaces without cars, while offering citizens a secure and friendly place to relax.
Many cultural, sporting and fun activities will be offered throughout the weekend, in a festive atmosphere in the heart of the capital.
