The number of victims of the Israeli military offensive on the Gaza Strip continues to climb. According to Palestinian health authorities, at least 56,500 people were killed and 133,419 injured since October 7, 2023, the date of the start of the Israeli military operation.
In the past 24 hours, Ghaza hospitals have recorded 88 new deaths and 365 additional injured, specifies the same source.
Since the resumption of hostilities on March 18, 2025, after two months of Truce, 6,175 Palestinians have lost their lives and 21,378 have been injured. The emergency services also indicate that many victims remain buried under the rubble, especially in areas completely destroyed by bombing.
Attacks targeting civilians gathered to receive humanitarian aid also continue. In 24 hours, 18 dead and more than 41 injured were reported during strikes targeting distribution points in Gaza. The total assessment of these humanitarian attacks now amounts to 583 dead and 4,186 injured.
As a reminder, a ceasefire had been concluded on January 19, 2025, after more than 15 months of fighting, but the Israeli army resumed its operations on March 18, plunging the Palestinian enclave again in a major humanitarian crisis, qualified as unprecedented by numerous international organizations.
