In the last twenty-four hours, the civil protection units intervened to extinguish 140 fires in different regions of the country, according to a publication of the Civil Protection spokesperson this Friday on its Facebook page.
The total number of interventions carried out by the agents of the National Office of Civil Protection between 6 a.m. on July 3, 2025 and 6 a.m. on July 4 amounted to 575 interventions, including 161 for fire extinction, 137 for help and assistance on the roads, and 280 other interventions excluding traffic accidents.
In another press release, civil protection called on road users to respect speed limitations, especially in high -movement areas, to avoid driving in fatigue, not to use the mobile phone by driving, and to maintain a sufficient safety distance between vehicles to avoid sudden collisions.
She also exhorted not to let children drive cars or motorcycles, to attach her seat belt and to ensure the good condition of the vehicle, while recalling the importance for pedestrians to respect the safety rules, to cross in the designated places and to remain attentive to traffic.
